A couple weeks ago. A bad day fishing turned into a good day shed hunting

A few of the better ones a couple of us picked up last weekend. Probably had another dozen or so dinks, spikes, and old chalk horns. Picked up the right side to the middle one, far right, about an hour after I took the pic.

The deadhead has not been dead long. I’m guessing post rut.

Went and looked at a spot I haven’t been in a while this weekend. Tons of sign but only 3 from this year. It is public land so either someone beat me to it or there isn’t many bucks left in that area.

Took a trip to Colorado to turkey hunt, and stopped at some public land on the way home —

We found 6-8 more dinks this last weekend. Still haven’t found a single one of our bigger bucks. Plenty of mature bucks on cameras every day and most even starting to put growth back on, but somehow they dropped their antlers where we can’t find them.

Cool finds ShedHunter, and beautiful country in that pic.

Disclaimer to anyone wondering, the sheds were picked up East of I-25 (shed hunting isn't allowed west of that until later on, similar to how Montana and Wyoming have closures)
