Hunting in May, Tx (NE of Brownwood)??

In the next couple of weeks it should become official that I'll be hunting east of May. I've never hunted that area before so I'm looking forward to it although it will be tough to leave our old place behind. Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated. When is the rut typically?

Once we close I'll start a new thread with some pics and bring y'all along for the ride.

I've hunted about 9 miles south of May for 10 years now. We generally see good numbers and as others have said 120's is about right, I have seen a few bucks that might push low 130's and I believe our place has produced some bigger in the past but not lately. The ranch we hunt is about 1800 acres and we lease the back half. Our place is not too pressured but also as others have said what your neighbors do will have a big impact.
