Saw two of them together at the ranch yesterday... almost ran over one of them. I moved them off the road.

I think I've seen 4 HT in the last 20 yrs or so.
Used to catch em all the time as a kid.

Same here. When I was kid my grandmother had a big patch of strawberries by the front porch and my brother and I caught them all the time in there.

Anyone else ever notice when you see a lot of Horned Toads. You usually have good seasons of quail? Vise versa also. If you don’t see many toads. The quail seem to be scarce.
