How much do you think the flatbed weighs? Just curious

It's not bad at all. I don't think its much heavier than the factory bed, which I didnt think was very heavy until I took off the shock absorber and tried to let it down by hand.

90% complete. Gotta add the connection for the shock absorber, and fit up my tool box. Then its off to the paint!

What is the purpose of the hood scoop?

I would imagine more cool air to the radiator.

Cool air to the floorboard. Legs get hot down there in the summer on long rides.

                    Interesting.

I’ve yet to experience the excessive heat. Just started looking online and found several posts about it. Guess I’m either lucky or it just doesn’t bother me.

I’m in a FXR if that makes a difference.

Then you haven’t ridden long enough, it’s a problem. It gets so bad, me and the wife ride with the doors open at the lease.

                        Dang.

Most of my rides are short around the house. In and out in a few minutes.
Although I do hunt at least once a week (running hog dogs)out of it though, and may put 20-30 miles on in a night. Guess the cooler night temps help.

Almost 200 hours with close to 1000 miles. 2018 Pro FXR.

I’m going to have to copy your design on the front rack.

I'm intrigued by the hood scoop issue. Is the idea to let hot air out from behind the radiator at idle, and force cool air into it at speed? Or does it bring cooler air in at speed and dump in the foot area of the cab?
