What to do in Denver later this month?

My wife and I will be spending the weekend up there later this month and im struggling to find exciting things to do. Not tied to Denver necessarily. Just want to do something that we cant do here in Texas. Fishing is out as shes not quite that into it. Looking for more along the lines of just an eventful weekend. Any help appreciated.

Take a hike and find me some OTC elk!

My wife and I enjoyed some restaurant that used to be a funeral home or Something like that. It was really good. Hopefully someone knows the name.

Edit: Linger is the name. Good stuff!

Take her to eat at The Fort. It’s outside on the west side of Denver on a mountain overlooking the valley. The have wild game on the menu and it has that Old West feel.

I heard some fellers talk about smokin them left handers and hanging out at Dominos with the other homeless folks.

Seriously though, aint there a narrow gauge train that takes you up thru the mountains?

Casino sounds tempting. Whats up with the bighorn? Is there a small herd that hanges around Georgetown?

Yes, they are often right by I-70. There's some side roads off the interstate and the sheep hang out in those areas. From time to time there are some pretty big rams there.

Also, you can drive over Guanella pass and often see mountain goats. However, your best bet at getting a close view of mountain goats is on Mt. Evans. You can drive all the way to the top

                              Eat at The Buckhorn Exchange.
Brewery tours are great, Ft Collins would have the best ones.
Still be lots of snow up high in the mountains.
