Not this year, didn't draw and had twins oct 4th. I paid my dues to keep my spot on the lease. Other 2 guys are up there now, both have killed a doe, and one killed a decent 8 this morning.Originally posted by Bowanta View Post

Saw several mature bucks locked down with does and sme cruising as well last week. Dad killed a pretty good one Friday evening. Had a few close calls just couldn't get them in the right spots had one of our shooters locked down 150 yards from me. Never would come my way and for the first time in Kansas for me there was zero wind to try to stalk him.Comment

Find a spot with a good wind and hunt on the ground if your sets are not huntable. Local friend up there has killed a couple of toads hunting in one of those cheap folding chairs tucked beside a tree. Better than missing a hunt.Originally posted by Bowanta View PostComment

Hunt #2 of 10. Back on the hardwood ridge line I hunted last year. Wind isn't great but not terrible. Got a all day sit ahead me.
Current temp is 44* with a feels like of 37. Clear skies and light wind.
I think today will show some action.
