My wife is a teacher, and the teachers union does not do a dang thing to help teachers. My son is 22 now so its been a while since he was that young. I ask my wife if this happened to our son and she said yes!!! I should have payed more attention.

Then when the parents came in to complain to her about how she made their kids feel bad, she told them they were doing a bad job of being parents (She put it much more eloquently). She was sued shortly after that. Teachers union managed all of it, and she didn't have to come out of pocket a dime, and the ****ty parents didn't get a dime.

Everyone was happily going in to get free meals. I walked past it and they tried to stop me and "force" us in. I told em Im not doing it and kept walking. Guess nobody has any pride anymore. So much for American self sufficiency. We are doomed.

Most folders are color coded. All take home folders are a specific color, red, blue, vanilla....when kids show up the first day with folders that are not the required folders the teacher usually supplies them. They don’t come from the school, the teacher has purchased them. I promise the teacher does not want another princess folder. The school should have supplied a list of required supplies for the school year before school started.
After 18yrs of my wife teaching I have funded probably $1000’s of dollars worth of school supplies for kids I’ve never met.
It's 100% Bullsh@# when the school knows any teacher with decency will be forced to use their own money so they simply don't supply what's needed. Yet as mentioned above there's never a shortage for all kinds of BS and unwated worthless programs.

18 years...I promise you are over 10k by now. My wife teaches first grade. After year 3 I made her write down every penny she spent. I simply wanted to prove that it adds up to at lot more than +/- $300 she claimed... After just a couple months she just admitted it and stopped adding it up LOL

I know some will say all kids deserve supplies etc ( and I agree ) but it teaches the kids the wrong lesson. Work harder and you will be penalized by paying for the others stuff. Dont work and someone else will provide for you.

They all have a cell phone but some can't bring in $10 in supplies.
BTW - we have kids that live in 300k+ homes on free/reduced lunches. Figure that one out!
