Hornady black elds work just fine as slow as a Grendel is shooting

Hornady black with 123 grain ELDM works great.

Anyone running a Ruger American Ranch rifle in the grendel?

Fusions have done the best for me out a short barrel. Rifle length, SST and ELD would be fine. I have had similar experience as Low Fence with accuracy issues using SST.

I’ve been using 120gr eldm handloads and they flat out kill! I’ve shot some really large hogs and most have been bang flops even in the shoulder.

Coyotes get softball size exits and deer just drop.

Now if I can get my hands on some Speer gold dots I’d probably use those.

Yep in 300blk as well. Grendel suppresses ok but the 300 is giggle quiet

I guess for the sake of updating everyone on what I have seen so far. Got a Ruger American Ranch model and so far at 100yds I have tried Hornady custom 123gr SST and at best it will make an 1.25" 3 shot group and Federal American Eagle 120gr OTM and it has done .75" 3 shot group. I have some 123gr Hornady Black ELDM on the way to try out.

The rife really struggled with the 123gr SST Hornady Custom. Best group at 1.25". The Federal American Eagle 120gr OTM did good best group .75" but it was never consistently grouping. The Hornady Black ELDM 123gr was by far the best consistent at 5/8" or .625moa at 100yds.

My LaRue Grendel shoots the 120gr Federal American Eagles in a consistent 0.5 MOA group at 100yds. Have even shot the thing out to 835yds on this gong we have at our place. The thing loves that 120gr for some reason!

The 123 green Hornady black eldm worked pretty good this morning. Right in the heart he went maybe 75 yards maybe. Me and the boy were pretty excited we rattled him in.
