Live from Woodbury County, Iowa...(Back in Nebraska 2018)

Its finally that time of the year again when the Texas boys pack up and make our annual trek up north to hunt big mid-west whitetail. This year will mark the 10th trip, with this being the second year on the Nebraska farm we were fortunate enough to acquire. The farm is located on the Missouri River about 45 mins north west of our original farms in Iowa. This being only our second year we are still learning the property and how to hunt it. We have now established 12 food plots and have placed over 18 stands throughout the farm.

Wade (Blackjack) and I will be headed out tonight after work and his son's football game, driving the 15 hours through the night with the goal of meeting up with Dan and a few buddies at the famous Mile's Inn for a Charlie Boy and an Ice Cold Schooner. The Crawford boys (Matt & Jim) are leaving today after lunch. Stolle and his brother are flying up tomorrow and will be in camp hopefully in time for the afternoon hunt. Unfortunately due to new job and some other priorities GJ (Skipshot) will not be able to make the annual trip. He will be missed and Im sure we will do our best to rub it in!

For those that are new and have not followed along on our annual hunts, here are some links to a few of our previous trips. Every year brings a new adventure, new challenge but always the same great time!

As time permits today I will try and post up some of the old LDP's and pictures to keep everyone entertained until we hit the stands tomorrow.

Food plots are looking fantastic. We hot fenced a couple to keep the cows off and deer off of them. The alfalfa is almost knee high in places and the turnips are big as softballs.

Hate that I am going to miss it, but you can bet I’ll be following along.

Here are some pictures from years past. I’ll post more as I find them.
