What is the going rate for a handyman

I recently worked on a home repairing a wall and installing sheetrock on an estate that my wife is Executor of. Was wondering what to charge per hr for work completed?

I would think 30 dollars a hour. But I do it free around here

Depends on quality of work. I have a guy that I pay 27 per hour (his rate) that I think is underpaid and ive seen some I wouldn't pay 10 per hour.

        30 to 50 per hour.

I have been charging property management companies 45 per hr with a 1.5 hr min.
Average person that calls is typically 30 -45 depending on how long it's going to take.
If it's going to take many hr I'll be on the low end of it. This is my side hustle so I'm not trying to pay my Bill's with this money

We charge $42, not exactly what you would call a handyman crew though

How was that not discussed before the work was done?

Depends on what work is being done.

This all should have been agreed upon prior to starting the project.

I use a lot of handymen and depending on job, I pay between $15 -$35 an hour.

I don't do sheetrock but I build things for people and I charge by the job, usually 1X material unless there is a ton of detail work.

If you are furnishing material then material cost x3 and you will be OK.
You won't get rich but you won't be working for free.
