I thought Jennings road was paved? My road is off Jennings road right after the tracks.

It’s paved for the first few miles out of Aguillares, then it gets bad!

Gotcha. We’re off Vaquillas Rd. Take a left right after the tracks.

I went down a few weeks ago and hurt my back so didn’t get hardly anything I wanted to done.

Gonna have a lot of work to do between dove hunts in September.

That sucker looks like he needs help!! Nice start to the head gear, but terrible looking body shape... Is he THAT old or just not getting nutrition or sick?

This pic is a few weeks old but he definitely looked wormy. He seems to be fattening up in the times I have seen him on camera since.

Well he's a nice looking buck. Hope he straightens out for you and finishes out nicely!

Ran down to the lease this weekend to refill all of the feeders, put out new cameras, & mow around camp. I could not believe how much and how tall the grass was. Even more unbelievable was that our pond was overflowing. I’ve never seen it anywhere near that full. Deer are extremely healthy, and doves & quail were everywhere.

This pic was taken from my bow blind in December.

                        This was yesterday. [emoji33]

Looks like your bow blind is now a duck blind!!! Amazing how much rain we’ve had down there. I’m not complaining!!

Not a ton of activity at the protein, considering how green it is, but had some decent deer show up for a photo shoot last night.

Cant believe all the rain we have had so far this yr. Lost count on totals but it has been alot. Flooding right now in Zavala & Dimmit. 4'-6" so far & still coming down.
Deer stopped eating protein & cottonseed over a month ago and have not eatin much all year. Will be curious to see how the antler growth is this year based on them eating mostly natural forage for most of the summer.

We got another deluge in Webb county last night. It’s nuts. Some of the deer are hitting the protein fairly regularly, but the big boys are very sporadic.
