    Fires in San Saba County.

Got a couple of fires going on in SW San Saba county. One toward Pontotoc. Looks pretty big and one within seeing distance from us . Tankers dropping retardant from air and local fire departments hauling equipment around. One saving grace is wind is light right now. Had a light shower go that way. Hopefully, nothing gets too bad.

Dang, its about that time for bad fires if some rain doesnt happen around this part of the country.

We stayed on that fire until close to 5am. Wasn’t much you could do in that country. We have fought several back in there in the last few years. Be heading back out again to releave other guys. Back burned most of one side but couldn’t get to the north side because of the rocky country it was in.

Wow was in San Saba Wednesday for a cross country meet, it looked pretty green. Driving through Llano county looked like it had been a while since they've had rain.

Fire map shows 600 acres near CR362 and 10 acres NW of there.

Yes. Thanx. A few years ago the ranch next to us had a bad fire. Got right up to the fence on the NE corner.

Not sure on what started it but several agreed it started at least the day before. It was pretty big and we where out their as soon as they page us for it to be already that big.
