Casey and I recovered his doe and then he made short work of getting her quartered and in the ice chest before heading home ahead of an exciting day for him today.
Meanwhile back at the ranch...With all the activity at the blind Casey hunted yesterday, I decided not to go back there and opted, instead, for the Xenek Casey has been hunting before the front. The wind Isn’t ideal, but hopefully it will skirt my shooting lane enough that the animals don’t catch my (substantial) scent.
It’ll be a relatively short sit this morning before taking care of some job priorities, finishing up some lease chores and heading home this afternoon. Hopefully some tracking and skinning chores will be added to the to-do list!
