You could visit the Marekel or Pilansberg Parks thats almost halfway between Ellisras and Johannesburg.

Both parks have the Big 5.

I have zero experience with them. My first trip over will be this August. I guess if I am just throwing a guess at it I will guess 55".

Sabi Sands dont compare with the Greater Kruger National Park.

Ngororngoro you also cant compare as its in a totally different biome in central East Africa.

You are welcome to contact me directly to plan a safari in South Africa. If you have a bit of time we can start in the Pilansberg National Park in the North West Province and then from there drive east to Kruger and explore the diversity of the Kruger National Park
