A good example of what age and nutrition will do, for porcupines.

Looks like a young gorilla having a sit down meal under the feeder. Also, that’s a wise buck there not crowding any closer to Mr. Ouch.

After a few years of intense predator management and all the rain giving us plenty of cover looks to be a bumper crop of fawns this year! Caption this pic lol

Where are all our MONT hunters????

We had two bachelor groups on camera every night and morning this time of year last year that were really good bucks. After good rains plenty to eat and passing on most of them. They have all turned into doe

For those of you with wind mills close by, say half a mile to 3 miles away. 120 of them, just put up in the past 7 months. Will it hurt our deer activity? Before there was zero traffic in the area where they are located. I mean zero! Now I know there has to be a lot for maintenance and what ever else goes on with those $#*>%#÷ things!

David, I hunted a place several years ago that had just finished up construction of a bunch of windmills. Corn piled up under the feeders up on top of the hills near the windmills. The deer didn't seem to like the sound of the windmills swooshing through the wind. But we had deer in the bottoms and valleys where there weren't any windmills.

A few years later, I hunted the Stasney's Cook at Albany. Lots of windmills there too, but they'd been there a few years already. All the deer on the place were born under a windmill. We saw loads of deer everywhere, including right under the windmills.

If you're half a mile or more away from a new windmill, it probably won't affect you. It might not be good to hunt in amongst the windmills for a year or two though.
