          Haha!! Nice

We're looking into buiding a 30x40 with 3 12 roll ups, bathroom and a walk thru. Met with a land clearing and pad builder Friday.

He mentioned building the pad at least 5 foot bigger in each direction. Taking out 6-8" of dirt an coming back with 12-14.

How do the prices of the metal buildings compare with building a regular house?

Far cheaper in my case, but I am building a barn, not a barndominium. From people that I have spoken with, im getting numbers between $18 and $22 a square foot.

All depends on your floor plan and level of finish.

In our case it was going to be more expensive because of how cut up our plan and roof is. Plus we have to have 70% masonry facade.

Nothing like those but will eventually get a small apartment on one end. Until then the FEMA trailer is home when I'm around. 30x50x16

As Mike said it all depends on the level of finish out you want to do. Ours was far cheaper than a stick home for sure 2400 sq ft with 12 sq ft of porches and we were at 150-160k that included septic and well.

Still got a ways to go. Starting drywall in the living area this week if we can get a trailer full of sheetrock up the driveway. We have had a lot of snow.
