Flounder gigging questions

Ok have a flat We are going to try. Lots a finger mullet and bait with sand. So is it better tonight with low tide at 1030p or at 4am on a rising tide? Tried this morning and area I went had a couple fish on it but they were small

I've always had good luck from change of tides to high tide. Once the water starts coming in the fish start moving in. On a falling tide I think they lay off the edges waiting for bait ti come off the flat.

I always preferred an incoming tide.

incoming but ive been successful finding them in most all conditions....as long as its not a slack dead tide

We will try it tomorrow early. Worse thing that can happen is not find any and learn something

See if you can find some mixed shell Glen. I had a gigging boat for years and they sure like mixed shell and grass lines.

Incoming always. It's a race to catch them sliding deep after the turn tides out. Have floundered same spots over an over again on rising tides as new fished moved in behind us.

Well didn’t slay them but both stuck one keeper this morning before daylight. Learning every trip. May run across Aransas Bay and try outside St Joes. Or may drive around and look for some walk in spots.
