True. Unfortunately for him it hasn't held up. Out for the season again in 2020. I feel bad for him. He's a very hard worker and was a great kid.

This is why teams shy away from HS RHP that high in the draft. As there isn't enough track record to support the risk.

Ginn is one off the top of my head.. im sure googler would produce a list of them.
If i remember right.. appel was another .. cant remember if van popple was a righty or not..believe he was.. side note: his son is supposed to be a stud

Ginn was the #30 pick, and ultimately didn't sign out of HS. Under 6' as well. He is soph eligible so we shall see what this year holds for him. FB sits 92/93, not the high 90's.

Van Poppel was #14.

Appel was drafted in the 15th round out of HS.

There aren't plenty of HS RHP's drafted in the top 3 picks, or top 5 for that matter, as my original post mentioned.
