Crappie are biting at our place on the Nueces River off the dock. Not huge like you guys catch..I wish we had 2-3 pounders!





She threw most crappie back but was keeping the white bass. Look up Nueces River Retreat to see our place on AirBnB We are working on a TBH get-together fishing trip in March.

I sure have been missing the crappie! Too much going on lately! Boat has been torn apart for a couple of weeks. Been quite a hassle installing the new sonar. Had to put in a new fuse panel and run wires, the whole works. Better be worth it....

Picked up a new phone last week and no Tapatalk so haven’t updated much. Still been chasing them! Went for a while yesterday and had a 1.02 and a 1.20 only to discover my kid had it set on KGs! Oh well. It’s trophy season y’all. Go stick monsters!!

I had 2 air traffic controls on LOP today. One had not fished since childhood the other had never been fishing....ever.
It was a slow start with a lot of missed bites but once they figured it out they put a beating on some really nice fish. 50/50 split between minnows and jigs. All fish fought in 30ish foot of water. The higher they were up on the timber the more likely they were to bite.
