I'm not hunting a feeder. I set a pop up blind near a game trail and made a mock scrape a few days ago. Looks like the first activity on it was last night. Got a young buck on camera checking it out. Hopefully deer will start using the scrape and this can turn into a good spot to hunt during the rut.

Yep...hard hunting if you're counting on hunting a feeder. It would pay to scout now while it's still early and get set up on a big old white oak that's loaded. You won't find many of those acorns on the ground because the deer clean them up quick. Other acorns you might, but those white oaks are their favorite. Look for trees where the ground is pawed up and heavy with tracks. Better than a feeder IMO because the deer are less nervous and will visit them many times during a day.

Saw two doe and a young bucks ( I think) . The two doe busted out at a full run with the wind blowing from them to me.
They came back a few minutes later and kept going.
Then this other deer comes in and hangs up a min or two. Then the first two charge ( it ) and run it off .
The first two come back and keep feeding through.
I'm thinking IT was a young buck that was doggin them too early.
It was poor light and I could see it that well.
