I’ve been running a few crappie trips and bass fishing in between. The crappie bit has been ridiculous and the bass fishing has been decent. We’re catching quite a few 7 to 10lbers in spite of the lakes being either too high or too muddy to do a lot of sight fishing.

My boy pulled this out of a neighborhood pond and it’s by far the biggest he’s caught out there. Typically small 14” so this one was a surprise for sure.
Can any of you seasoned fishermen offer a guess on weight?

Good eye! That absolutely was the Sabine. I did a flipping seminar with the LCM HS fishing team and me and a buddy jumped on the sabine for a couple of hours before the meeting. I ran into that 6.5lber and we absolutely smashed the numbers. Beat 5 was ~17lbs in about 3 hours
