Made it out to the ranch this past week and boy was it hot!! Still very dry with no signs of any recent rains. WT are looking really good and healthy! Water stations are being emptied in about 2 weeks!! Saw lots of axis moving around mid day and even had a stud right at camp, but obviously o was caught off guard. I did manage to finally kill my first axis bull ever so that’s a plus. Unfortunately I had to use a boom stick. Going to try and make it back out there next week for a few days to get some work done now that I have a bit of meat in the freezer. The boys at the firehouse did enjoy some fresh axis burgers!!
