    Dependable wind app?

Is there a wind app that is worth anything?

Accuweather is same thing Huntstand uses and they give opposing info

Accuweather is usually right but only tells you what it is doing right now

Tired of planning to hunt a stand only to figure out once I get out in the area that the wind is not out of the direction the app claimed it was

I use weather.gov, aka NOAA National Weather Service. Click on the region you want data for, then click on the map to pinpoint your location. Once you get to the detail page, scroll to the bottom, and on the lower right there are two maps labelled "National Digital Forecast Database". I click on the map on the left and zoom in to closest level. From that map you can select look at several weather elements, like wind speed and direction, wind gust, humidity, sky cover, etc. It covers 7 days, and is broken down into time frames, as well. I have found it to be very accurate out to 72 hours and pretty accurate for the rest of the week.

Weatherbug. The wind is about the only thing any get correct anymore

For straight wind data you can’t beat Windfinder Pro. The normal feed is pretty good to plan around and the three day super forecast is crazy accurate.
