Anybody get drawn for Kerrville Schreiner this year? I got another point this year, not sure I will ever get drawn for this one.

Wife and I went out last weekend and made several trips through looking for deer. We saw a lot in the Riverhills subdivision next door, with several big bucks and blackbucks hanging around. Saw several does and a few small bucks in the park and the usual herd of blackbuck in the front field just before dark. I would love to get the blackbuck overseeing that herd, he was a hoss and very nice looking.

They used to take of standbys "in the old days" when it was a state park but now this hunt is under the Private Lands category and I don't think they do standbys anymore. Under Private Lands they have the $10 application fee but no permit fee thus they eliminated standbys...

Saw stats for last year and looks like they had spots available but showed no standbys were offered hunts. May want to call the site to verify.

Should be fun, we saw a lot of blackbuck in the front field and several WT does back near the water tank.
