That's a good set of scores.
We wont talk about mine. I started off fairly decent in the first half. Shoulder started having issues around target 17. By target 25 it was in full ouch mode. We broke for lunch and I stiffened up.
I only shot the one bow but not sure when I'll shoot again.
By the end I couldn't keep my string shoulder/elbow up. Can't draw my bow at all today. I'm sure it will be at least a couple weeks before it's ready to shoot any quantity of arrows again.
That said I know I'm never gonna be in the mix for top spots. Every animal is a new match for me and shooting that animal is what my focus is. My final score is something Interested in but more for the fact of wanting to be able to respect my shooting vs how I measure against the others there
I shot men’s recurve open, after shooting traditional for only 8 months now and , this being my first ever 3D shoot of any kind I scored 307. I missed 8 out of the 50 targets completely. With that being said I had an absolute blast and learned a ton. Gary ( DRT) took me under his wing and gave me some pointers and most importantly encouragement ,all day. I can’t say enough about how nice all the folks were that I met. I will definitely be doing the 3D shoots again and continue to try and improve.
I came in second in both classes, and came away with a better idea of what I should be working on. I need to hang some targets in the trees, and practice shooting from the roof down to the ground, lol!
Daniel shot MRO and MLO, with a 360 and 393. We both had a good time, and both of us left an arrow or two out there, never to be seen again, lol.
What a fun time as always. Beautiful venue. Great course. Enjoyed seeing old friends and making some new ones.
First half was decent, interesting.
Second half, not so much. A lot of bbn open shots jammed into a fairly short span. Necessary maybe, idk. But it was definitely the opposite of the first 25.
