Youth rifle choices

Finding my 4 year old a quality youth rifle was incredibly difficult.

The rascal and crickett are pretty low quality. Difficult to pull triggers. Sloppy bolts. And the crickett cocking mechanism is awful. I bought her a threaded pink one and will be selling it.

Savage makes a nice one.

Henry micro bolt is nice.

I chose a CZ457 scout with the recommendation of a few friends. Here’s why

Lots of accessories available
Good trigger
Bolt and safety like a grown up gun
Good iron sights
Threaded
Barrelled action is full size so you can purchase full size stocks as they grow
Mag fed but ships with a solid single shot fake mag

I mounted a sig Romeo 5 red dot for her. Great combo

Practicing on the deer in the living room haha. Dry firing. I’ll buy another firing pin but I haven’t broke one yet.

CZ makes a great weapon. Have never really looked at this one but assume the quality is a step up from most of the rest. Thanks for sharing.

The CZ 457 is an excellent action, which is what the Scout is built off of. It takes about 5 minutes to swap the barrel and stock when they do outgrow the Scout as it is. The 457 is a fantastic upgrade over the previous 455 that it replaced, which makes it a great platform yo grow off of.
