Looking for 35+ inch axis hunt

As the title says, I’ve shot some good axis, looking for a specific axis, sure want it to be at least 35 inches or more. The place I hunted last year is booked for this year, only open hunts are in August and don’t want to hunt in August.

Free range would be a plus but not necessary.

I’d hunt in August, in a sweater, to get a shot at a 35” axis.

I’m sure someone can get a lead on something like that for you, good luck.

Do you have Facebook? There is a guy on there named Ryan Longer of Longer's Outdoors. Big volume Outfitter with a lot of access to big animals like you're after. I know he has multiple Axis that fit this bill right now. Idk if they're sold yet though.

Not on Facebook. Don’t know him, but I’ll look him up. I’m looking for a good hunt, I’ve guided for over 8 years on high fence places, actually run a HF ranch now with axis. Just looking for something different. The place we hunted last year in Sonora was awesome, free range with lots of axis. Saw over 300 and some shooters, but couldn’t connect. Thanks for the replies, it’s also for my 40th bday.

Understood, but I want to spot and stalk If possible and want the ranch to myself, last year it was my friend and I on 3600 acres, it was awesome. August is a little hot for my preference, shooting an axis then, way off the road could cause for some meat spoilage unless we do it quick.
