2x4 welded wire works great for feeders. Place a t-post, and put the wire around it.

water tote cages work well also

        AC-

About how many pounds would you say that feeder will hold? I’m trying to figure out how much to get.

The one in the pic holds about 275 lbs. you can make them as big or as small as you need.

I haven't noticed them eating mine. Some may have different experiences. I have mine in a pen, and sometimes calves get in, but don't eat it. Coons don't eat it. That's a big plus!

I would build a pen if I were you if you have hogs or cows

I've heard that you can't feed it year round. Is this true, or will it make bucks sterile during certain times of the year?
I started feeding cottonseed for the first time last year along with the pelleted protein I always fed and it took the deer 5 months to figure out cottonseed was something they could eat. Once they figured it out, they hammered it.

Based on how exposed the feeders are, I’m assuming it can be stored in an area that could get wet?

Does it eventually rot or go bad? I’m wondering how long we can use it if we run into the same problem that deerwatcher had the first 5 months.

It does not go bad. It can take any kind of weather.

Yes, we tried to fence out 94 heifers and watched 10 tons vanish!
