seeding oats w/ fertilizer spreader?

I’ve got friends that do it every year. I don’t know how many acres but enough that they park an 18 wheeler and a pneumatic trailer full of seed at the edge of the fields. And fill it up multiple times a season. Must work

Hadn't thought about those hard plastic wheels on disc'd ground. Might not be such a great idea after all. Thanks for the input y'all.

Oats generally do better when covered. I plant rye grass this way with fertilizer spreader every year for my cattle. If you can drag over oats with hair would increase germination.
