"The Jeep" 1951 Willys M38 Restoration

The Jeep project is a 1951 Willys M38 originally purchased by Pops in the early 60's from an army surplus in Little Rock, AR. After some heavy use by Pops and Uncle Mike it was retired to the dusty barn and the Missouri farm for a couple decades. Pop and Dad pulled it out and got it running with some new wiring, plugs, points, and condenser. From there we drove it for several more years and it was my first car. I got the bright idea to do a full restoration. After many short sperts of work over way too many years, we are finally gaining some good headway and we have dedicated an entire shop to getting it back on the road. Immediate goal is to restore to as close to original as possible. Ultimate goal is to strap a 30 Cal on it! Will post progress as we come down the home stretch.
