Finished one bedroom

Finished the ceiling and put up the trim around the door and re-hung the old door this weekend. Really glad I was able to get three doors and all of the trim above and around the door out of that old ranch house.

Started putting up tongue and groove Douglas Fir on the other bedroom wall and cedar on another wall in there. I ran out of fir so I'll have to wait until next weekend to work on it.

You can see the tongue and groove fir on the far left wall. I couldn't finish the cedar because the fir goes up first. The cedar is a "japanese cedar". It was the same price as the western red cedar. Not bad looking for fence slats

Thanks for all of the nice comments. I am lucky to be able to work on this cabin every week and lucky that I am still physically able to do it. Hopefully I’ll have a nice comfortable place to hang out when I retire.

I’m leaning towards stained concrete for the floors. I’ve never done any of that before and was wondering if anybody on here had any advice and how hard it is to stain it?
