My dad died in 1979 at age 68. I grew up bass fishing with him on into my early adult life until he died sudden of a heart attack in his sleep. Oh, how I would love to fish with him one more time!

He had to quit school in the 8th grade in Hope, AR to help raise his family of 6 siblings. He served in the Navy SeaBees during WWII. I get my superior, awesome, good looks from him.

My dad and my son, Konnor.
Konnor, like most grand kids thought his Pawpaw was the best thing since mac-n-cheese.
Not a day goes by without thoughts of what both of them are missing in each other.

Father's day is so special, when you're the dad ... but sucks when yours is gone.

My dad passed away at 83 from cancer. He few his airplane on a Saturday. Saw his doctor the following Friday. A week later he was placed on hospice. He died the following Tuesday. He lived life to the full right up to the end.
