our shooting bench was in rough shape so we finally ran it through the fire pit....after searching for some ideas on here I liked the 'L' shaped design you did. Great for gun cases, gun cleaning and such. I built mine as a mirror image off yours and put a roof on it. Very happy with how it turned out. Thanks for the idea!

Good idea, good design, good build on both. Very solid, lots of room, those shooting benches will be cool to zero in some rifles.

Shooting position just needs to be wide enough to allow both lefties and righties to shoot comfortably (says a lefty).
