Put me down for a little pig... well he was 54#... still heavier than my draw weight



There are 3 holes in him... I used only 2 arrows. I spined him on the first shot. Was still alive after 10 mins but had made it about 50 ish yards. Reused the first arrow that he dropped... but couldn't make out anything but the head. Third shot I finally could make out an armpit and that was that.

Best Recurve Buck

I feel very fortunate to have killed my best traditional buck last Friday evening. I was hunting from a ground blind on a food plot. The shot was 22 yards which is a little further than I normally like to shoot.

I was shooting my Rick Welch Dakota which is 54# and using Gold Tip arrows with 145 grain broakheads. The arrows weigh 430 grains total. I got complete penetration and he only went about 100 yards.
