They are just not coming to wheat field like last year. Kids have killed a couple but we haven’t seen many…..last year we would see 5-7 per sit.

Need to get a cheap 4 wheeler so we can get to the top of the hill and hunt that ridge. After my small stroke I dont have the endurance to walk that far.

Make walking to the top of that hill a life goal, and I bet you can. Start small and build up your cardio and endurance. Think of how surprised your kids will be when you walk up there with them!!

Hope yall pop a good one soon.

They might too old to hunt by the time that happens[emoji23]

I know you are right though. From the road to where we hunt is probably 250-300yds. I can do that fairly easy. It’s when we shoot something and have to drag it to the gate, then walk to truck that gets me. Almost didn’t make it the other night. But I’m getting better.

You're not up by the pond?

I'm curious if the he dam is still there?
Last time I was up there the ravine was 5-6' deep.

              Told the landowner about it

No. After he pushed a road he asked that we not drive if it was wet…..and i can’t walk that far.

Back at it this morning. Set up a spot up on the hill yesterday. Saw nice buck on way out yesterday. Drove to second gate and walked up on the hill. Won’t mean anything to anyone but me after the stroke….my endurance ain’t what it used to be. Stay tuned…..I think this is going to be her morning…..she hunted hard last year….she deserves a nice one this year.

That’s a pretty good plan, that N Wind is tough this morning.
