This was all covered in another thread that went on for days.

The key word in that statute is MAY not SHALL. Words mean things. He cant just come in and start throwing lids of coolers for no reason.

No one remembers the dead owl story from yesteryear? Where the guy posted a pic online of an owl that he hit with his truck alongside with dead ducks for the day. GW showed up and wanted to search his house and he told them to pound sand. No warrant, no entry?

They left. Granted they came back with a warrant but the bottom line is the still have the follow the 4th

I think the main reason they are pushing for digital licenses is so they have the data. With hard tags, they have no visibility to any of the game harvested. With digital licenses, they will have some of that data and, theoretically, could use it to better manage the herd.

Crazy how much they don't know. I invited one to our 12k acres in Childress. He had no idea we were there. Camp is at least 40 years old.

Never invite GW to camp. If he's coming, he's gonna have to find it on his own.

So can a GW search your live well? Once he asks you if you've been catching any fish and you say yes.. Then he asks to see fish can you say no?

When a GW pulls up to your truck in town and sees blood on your tailgate and ice chests in back of the truck.. Can you tell him to pound sand when he asks to see inside ice chests?

What if after seeing the blood on truck and ice chests and you telling him you were hunting that morning asks to see your hunting license? You're not hunting in town so again just say no?

That's not the point. It's about what constitutes probable cause or them getting a warrant. If you've done nothing wrong then would yo be fine with them going through your vehicle or even your home just because they felt like it?
It may seem like a low level 4th amendment violation, but the more people that allow it to happen, the more normal it will become. A very slippery slope.

This is nothing new! I feel it is only a slippery slope if hunters/ fishermen make it one. Everything is Not a conspiracy

Because they'll show up late at night and wake people up to check their licenses.

take a screen shot of your license off your app - you don't need cell service to pull up a picture on your phone to show the GW
