Took this buck this morning. For where we hunt it’s a dang good one. Was hunting a crossing area between a bottom and a thicket, and managed to stop this guy behind some trees, fortunately with about a 10-inch gap to take the shot at about 80 yds. I was pumped when I got up to it and saw the split brow! I know it’s not a bow kill, but I’ve had plenty of east texas seasons where I never raised the rifle on a shooter buck, so I’m proud of it. On a side note, have any of y’all ever seen a deer with a white nose like this?
