I read the first page of reviews and 4 out of the 5 pointed out deficiencies in materials. workmanship, and quality. That leads me to believe you will be wanting better quality hives pretty soon!

I bought mine from Texas Bee Supply. Good people. Not sure how prices compare, when I bought my hives, they were established with a marked queen.

I pulled some frames and harvested a little honey this weekend. I pulled 18 frames and ended up with almost 10 gallons of honey.

        Pretty cool process.

A couple of pics from a few weeks ago before a lot of honey was capped off.

If anyone is looking for a place to put some hives in NW Harris county I have some land with good forage around it.

go to any bee supply and get your stuff. websites want to sell you stuff you don't need. Start with 1- 10 frame deep per hive of bees. this has to include a roof, an inner cover, entrance reducer and a screened bottom board with plastic tray. Put the hive where it is in the sun most of the day. this helps greatly to keep the hive beetles down. attend classes! you can never learn it all! good luck

I have them in my walls. Need to spray some raid in there because i am not ripping out the walls for some bee's.

As soon as you kill the bees the honey will probably start dripping down the walls. If you don't remove the honey and the comb it's just an invitation for other bees to move in. if you do spray them you better seal up any holes they are using.
