Awesome first hunt!!!

Was pretty slow until the rain set in.
30 min before dark Kade had a shooter @ 200 yards in the Alfalfa.
Rattled him in to 100 yards and he got down wind of him.

Together we laid eyes on 8 does and 2 bucks.

Getting groceries now and laying down a game plan for tomorrow.

NE wind will probably have us back on the same property!

"Kade has seen a small 8, broke leg 3 point, a doe and yearling. I've only seen one deer so far, unknown. It is cold and the wind is blowing 14-16 mph."

That about matches my observations too. Seen a spike at daybreak, then rattled in a smallish 8, and seen a doe a few minutes later. Big let down this morning. With this weather change, I was expecting much better movement.
