              Thanks guys!
Y’all are right and I’ve been the victim/hero of that scenario before.
I hope Talen can say the same thing before tomorrow morning.

We’ve been settled in for a few minutes.

Just got a text from Brian. He went to a different property and pulled some cards to find 2 shooter bucks there the last few mornings. Seems the bucks we have been hunting have took a hiatus this week. I know it happens. It’s hunting.
So, if nothing is killed this evening, our last hunt will be on a property we haven’t been on this week.
It’s been a slow live hunt. Not a lot of updates. Not a lot of deer sightings. Our hunts have been short, due to the weather and time of movement. I’ve put a lot of pressure on myself to get Talen on a world class deer that as of 1.5 weeks ago was a regular on camera in the evenings. Losing velvet changed that schedule. Not a surprise.

                I told myself today...
We’ve spent 5 days, going on 6, doing what we love. We have hunted in the mornings. Hung stands, checked cameras, trimmed shooting lanes, made mock scrapes, put out corn, laughed, argued, aggravated each other & ate good food. And hunted in the evenings.

That’s what this live hunt is about. Memories. Memories to share with other hunters. And doing that with my sons, tops killing any deer in the world. If a big deer is killed, that’s just a bonus.

I appreciate all the positive support!
                Hoping it happens this evening!

First bucks we have laid eyes on since we got here.

                            We are settled in.
It’s breaking daylight and the woods are waking up.

We are in a set up in a ground blind tucked back in some cedars on a fence row Over looking a small pasture.

                            Wish us luck.
