Yes go do it. You will probably never shoot another. Your buddies will probably never shoot one. I cant imagine it costing more than $300. If they say 500 you need to shop around. Plus you will have bragging rights over Smart so it's a win win all the way around

Mount her up! Like mentioned above, it shouldn't cost you anymore than a duck mount, which normally runs $200-300.

Yes and I wouldn't think twice about it. If I shot it, I would have definitely had to pull the head off knowing my luck. One bird taxi I use said doves are hard and if you want one mounted then bring a few to choose from. Hopefully you don't have any problems
