i swap out between a .45 LC loaded to 44 mag velocity and a 38/55 loaded to .375 velocity.
Either one hammers what I shoot at with themClick image for larger version

Big loops, big lead and big times. Good luck!

              Lever gun hunting

              30-30 this morning,

              First kill last year.

Lever actions are hard to beat!

How did your hunt go today?

Browning BLR’s all day every day. I love them!

This was last night, pre-64 flat band I inherited from my grandad.
Hope to have a similar deal with the 336 I inherited from my grandpa soon.

Levers are very cool. I mostly hunt with revolvers but occasionally break out one of my levers for a hunt. This buck was from a few years ago with my Henry .41 magnum.

You could full-blown Chuck Connors (Rifleman) mode, with that loop

                      Good looking guns, guys!

                        How was the hunt?

Finally got the firing pin on my grandpa’s Marlin 1893, need to find a replacement for the rear site so I can get it out this year

Big loops slow down the lever process proven through CAS competition, they were made for gloves.

                          Nice pictures though !

No dice, one of the neighbors dogs came through about 4:30 and I heard some does blow not 5 mins later. Joys of hunting small acreage… oh well maybe next time.

Love the pictures guys, keeps me hopeful!

I have passed on all of my lever guns. My Marlin 39 Century Limited that I got new has gone to my oldest son, who is a Marlin lever fanatic. My 2 Marlin 30-30s are going to my grandsons through my second son. All of these were made before 1971.
