Was mulching and bagging leaves in the front yard this week and a shadow passed by me and this one landed about 20' in front of me, catching a small snake. Took off up into the oak and ate the snake. Then he re-positioned and continued to watch the lawn for more goodies.

Those are some nice pictures.
We went Kayaking the Guadalupe last weekend. At one of the places we stopped at fished fished a while, was watching two hawks flying over and through the tops of a stand of pecan trees. They were obviously looking for tree rats for lunch. I kept hoping to see one, get lunch. But those tree rats are not completely stupid, they stayed hidden the whole time. But the pair of hawks were very persistent.
I really like watching birds of prey, hunt.
