how much engine(hp)for your buggies?

I have an HD8 DPS Crew and I've never felt it was under powered. I've had 5 adults and a bed full of pigs and still gotten up to 58 mph.

How is it loaded down with all the weight and having the torque or power at start up or take off, or getting over big rocks etc?

I have the HD8 and with 4 adults and 15 bags of corn in the bed I never felt that I was underpowered.

For big hills and rocks I drop it in low range, It walks right up.

I have a DOHC 1000 that's going to get a tune and clutch this month. Just because I like to go fast.

But I agree with everyone that the 800s are plenty. Heck our 570 crew was plenty but I didn't like how loud it was, especially when loaded to the gills and working hard.
