Best Texas Lake ?

Lake Amistad is pretty, has some awesome houses on it and is great fishing!

This was my first place. But to close to the border. I've been down there enough and really don't want border patrol as lawn ornaments.

waterfront home/cabin
fishing/water sports
quiet (not too crowded)

Lots of good answers but if you are looking for something smaller that isnt too far from you, you should look into Camp Creek Lake. Small(900 acres) private lake. It should meet all of your requirements. Ive been there for 15 years.

I've always loved Amistad. It's not crowded, even on the holiday weekends.

Camp Creek lake, maybe not the best in all categories but it's private and quite.

Sam Rayburn. One of the largest in Texas, great for recreation and known for its unbelievable fishing.
