Go with 20v DeWalt. You'll be glad you did

Looks like you have a dedicated screw removal tool now (reverse only) lol

Interesting. I'll have to look into that. Got a nice drill and a circular saw that I haven't been able to use in a while. Best of luck fixing your drill.

Looks like the same drill I had.. That particular drill is discontinued and parts are hard to find.

get the 20v adaptor/batts if you gotta bunch of good 18v tools & then graduate to the 20v line as the oldies give up the ghost.

Geezy, had an ancient war horse 18v impact that was sun faded & went everywhere with me. Anyway, gotta flat on a company 3/4 ton some time ago & it barely stayed together for the change...felt bad letting her go but man is the 20v a dream.

Looked for parts and Walker, you are correct, that part is discontinued but I was able , after an exhaustive search, find one for 12.95.
                      Thanks Saddlehorse for the tip.

So you can use 18 volt batteries on 20v tools or is it the opposite?

opposite...20v batt on the 18v tools.

If you want another one, I have about four of them I think. I really only need one for the house and one for the shop. Or vice versa, if you don't want another one and have good batteries, I could use another good battery or two.

Just watch out for your wrists when you get a new one. The torque on them is amazing.
