Dead deer on the road?

Have seen at least 4 deer hit on the road this week going back and forth to work.

That is more than I saw during the rut

Any idea why so many would be getting hit?

Ditches are full of green grass and full moon. Grass is 4' high along a lot of roads around here. Deer/pigs can pop out of that grass and you never have a chance to hit the breaks.

I'm sure all the new housing construction and neighborhood developments in Texas have something to do with it. We have a pretty dense deer population too...see tons dead on the road around here unfortunately.
