    I’ve used them many times. Depending on condition I typically pressure wash or sand them to the desired look. Lightly hit them with a torch and comes out really good.

      I build lots of pedestals out of old CEDAR fence pickets, and never had any problems with bugs, as they naturally repel them.

      As mmoses said, I wouldn't mess with the treated pickets, they've got some nasty stuff in them.

          For those looking for fence pickets, alot of fence companies put the fences they replace out in their yard for folks to get for free.
