Great job. Exactly what i'm considering doing myself. Recently divorced and have no desire to bury myself in debt again. I have similar skillsets while being a master at none but a willingness to learn.

What steered you towards pole barn wood framing versus metal framing?

Any concern about the wood columns rotting over time or termites? I’ve seen several people build them this way and it has always made me wonder.
Shouldnt. The slab covers the post and siding comes down over the slab.

Its specific to pole barns. The way these are structured, all the weight is on the post that are set in concrete in the ground compared to a traditional build where all the weight is on the actual slab.

I didnt want to deal with steel. With wood trusses, my ceiling just needed rafters, didnt have to "frame" exterior walls other than sheet rock nailers. Wood is easier to work with IMO. and was cheaper. Not sure if it is now.

            Thanks for the compliments.

Looks great. Going to do something similar just on a smaller scale.

Awesome work! What size roll up doors are those and are you happy with the width? About to build myself and currently have 10’ wide doors drawn.

Doors are 10' wide and 8' tall. My 1 ton 4 wheel drive dodge fits in it and 46 hp kuboata with roof fits by about .5" (height) width not a problem.
