I would wager that he isn't just mature, but past his prime. Yes!

I could be wrong, but I don't think he is past his prime.
He's pretty healthy, and a brute.

He was down there pigging out from about 10:30 to 11:30 last night, and I watched him with the binos for that whole time. I'll definitely shoot him.

I didn't go after him this morning.
No sleep last night because of my shoulders, and I darn sure want to be in shape for the shot.

You're fortunate. The last two days were slow for us. I had the priest from our church our and he finally made a bad shot on a doe tonight that turned into a dead deer in 50 yards. Last year he took his first with a rifle, this year I told him no rifles, had to use crossbow.
But I had 6 fawn and 1 doe forbath long time this evening. Guess mommas had date nights and farmed out the kids.
